Thanksgiving Hopping

For Thanksgiving Brad and I do what I call popcorn around north Mississippi to see all our family. We are literally traveling at least an hour or more everyday from Wednesday to Sunday to get to see everyone. We are so blessed to have an abundance of family to go see. This Thanksgiving I think we almost saw everybody - wow!

This is my niece and nephew - Hannah and Jacob. If you can't tell my brother has red hair and they are both following in his footsteps. I had fun playing with them.

To the left is a pic of Brad and his nephews - Peyton and Phillip. We don't get to see them often, but Brad sure loves hanging out with them.

To the right is a picture of Brad and some of his cousins. We always end up together on Thanksgiving night with a movie or TV watching with them. We look forward to those nights all year long.

What's going on with us..

Well, I know it has been forever since I have blogged - since we found out we were having a boy. We are beginning to be very busy for the arrival of our little boy and of course Christmas. I finally decided on some fabric for his nursery, this is what you see above. The room will probably be mostly light blue, white, and chocolate. We are still trying to figure out which crib we want to get. We have cleaned out his closet and most everything in his room except the furniture. We have no idea where we are going to put everything. One thing is for sure we have to get very organized, fast!!! I on the other hand am feeling really good now and I actually like being pregnant. And as for a name - no he still doesn't have one! I will let you all know as soon as we figure it out, unless we don't figure it out until he gets here. I do kind of like the idea of having a few names picked out and choose once we see him, but I'm sure my control freak self will have to know before then.

Giving Thanks

As the Thanksgiving Holiday is finally here, I am reminded of how much I have to be thankful for. I am so thankful for Brad and how patient he has been with me during the last few months of pregnancy. He does everything around here - cooks, cleans, works, and still finds time to pamper me by fixing me hot chocolate and tucking me in to bed from time to time. Even right now as I type he is still at work trying to provide for me and our little baby boy. We are having more and more fun together everyday! I am also thankful for this little boy growing inside of me. I am thankful for his little turn overs inside my stomach and even the bump on my belly that is growing. I just ask the Lord to give us (brad and i) wisdom to be the parents he desires for us to be. I am also thankful for the job I have and the people I have worked with for the last six years. It has been such a blessing to work at a place with such loving people and do something you truly feeled called to do everyday. I am extremely thankful for my extended family, too! Brad and I love going home for the holidays. It is a little crazy with jumping around all over north mississippi, but it is worth it!
