Nine Years Ago Today....

Nine years ago today my life changed in a little big way. My baby sister was born two weeks before I graduated high school. Yes, that is 18 years difference. She was a suprised blessing to my mom and stepdad and of course me, too. I didn't expect to hold my very own sister ever! So it was very exciting to have her little precious self join us nine years ago. The pictures are some I found of her and me during those first few weeks and years. The top left picture is me holding her one morning before I left for school (my senior year of high school). The top right is of her laying on my bed at college (my freshman year). Doesn't she look like one of the little pillows with a sweet smile? The bottom left is me holding her in my car before I left to go back to college - I thought I would go ahead and start teaching her how to drive. The bottom right is me and her at homecoming my sophomore year of college. To say the least having a sister at 18 has been a lot of fun! Wasn't she so cute??? I wish she could have stayed this age forever! But of course she can't. So today I talked to her on the phone to wish her a Happy Birthday and she informs me she was able to get her ears pierced today as her present. Wow, how time flies. I know I should show you a picture of how she looks today, but for me this is how I will always see her - as my baby sister - no matter how old she gets. The Lord does bless us in the most unexpected ways and she is one of my biggest blessings from Him. So Happy Birthday Baby Sister!!!! I love you very much!!!
