7 Random Things...

So as I was tagged by Jessica to write 7 random things about myself, so here goes... 1. I try so hard to be organized, but I am not! I loose or misplace things all the time only to find them days, months, or even years later in a place I put them and said "If I put this here I won't forget it." I always forget and Brad gets so frustrated with me I know because he finds random things in random places. Just in the last few months as we've been cleaning things out in order to make room for baby, Brad found a good amount of cash I had stashed in some box who knows when. I'm sure I put it there so I wouldn't spend it and remember it where it was for just the right time, but who knows. Needless to say Brad got to keep the cash since he found it. 2. I hate returning things. I always get stuff and say I'm going to return it but never do. Then I end up with stuff I don't want or can't use. 3. I like to sing my own songs when I am alone - especially when my heart is overflowing with joy or fear. They are not good enough for anyone else but me and God of course, though. Often they are just my prayers are heart cries to my heavenly father. 4. I spent the summer in Australia in 2000. Some of you know this, but others may not. I was a summer missionary living with a two families while I was there. I definitely learned a lot about myself. 5. I am a fanatic kind of nerd about my job - teaching deaf children to talk. If you work with me, you know this, but if you don't you may not. I don't mind spending my vacation reading about new or old techniques about teaching deaf children. I will talk about my job anytime anywhere and most of the time you have to shut me up. I really like spending hours on end talking to people in my field about certain cases and what to do for hours on end. Every two years when Magnolia sends us to the Alexander Graham Bell Conference, most of my friends that I go with will go sight seeing for one day and skip some of the conference. I on the other hand want to go to the conferences to learn more (except for the one time we were in LA, who can pass up seeing hollywood). I love what I do and love that I can always learn more about it and do it better. 6. I have great ideas of parties or get togethers, but get too overwhelmed with my own ideas to actually put them together. I have always wanted to have a big girl tea party or a Christmas tea. I would love to have themed parties for my friends often such as chocolate night, movie night, or pamper us night, but never seem to make it happen. 7. I love old movies and musicals!!! I used to sit up for hours on end during the summer months with my mom just watching Esther Williams or Audrey Hepburn movies. I really like watching the old movie Holiday Inn at Christmas time with a cup of hot chocolate. All the singing and dancing I love it!!! okay well there they are not that interesting, but its all I could think of today. I tag Chrissie, Catherine, and Mary Evelyn.
