God's Gift Dec 14...

1-Party with Friends-Tonight I decided to have a wrapping party. My friend Cheree came over early with coffee and just hung out with me and helped. It was such a sweet time with her. She took care of Ford while I fixed a few snacks, then gave him a bath, and put him to bed - what a gift! Then a lot of friends arrived just to hang out and some of us to wrap our christmas presents. Some even stayed till late. As I was getting ready for the party earlier and everything was a mess including me, God kept reminding me I'm not perfect so why try to even portray that I am to others - let them see me a mess and my dirty laundry (literrally). They did see all that but you know what we still had a wonderful time! Just good quality time with good friends. God is really trying to tell me something about trying to look like this "all together" family with the matching clothes on our Christmas cards or the clean house or the greatly decorated house or.... None of those things are bad, but they are not the point and sure nothing to get stressed or all worked up about. Thank you God for such a sweet time with wonderful Friends tonight and being able to through a party that wasn't completely the perfect and still have a good time.
