1-Phone Call-This morning I received a phone call from Ginny. We talked just a bit. While we were talking she said a prayer for God to just show us or give us something to knock our socks off this Christmas. Ok maybe those weren't her exact words, but something like that. If you've been reading my gifts, then you know I feel God is up to something in me that He is trying to change how I view Christmas all together. My posting a gift from each day is a way He is showing me Himself too. Still not sure exactly what God is up to, but Oh Lord don't stop and keep my eyes and ears open to You. Anyway after I got off the phone with Ginny she called me back in just a minute to tell me of a verse God had just given her for me - John 14:14.
"If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it." John 14:14
It also reminded me of another verse that God has been continually showing me through this journey...
"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask HIM!" Matthew 6:11
So I guess I need to ask HIM. For what I'm not sure, but I need to ask HIM. We will see...
2-A wrapping helper-Tonight I was trying to get all the gifts wrapped. It was late and I knew at any point I would be up late by myself getting everything finished, but I was wrong. Brad helped me cook and clean up the kitchen. THEN he even got down in the floor with me and helped me wrap presents! What a gift to have someone help with all the wrapping. I enjoy wrapping, but too much just gets to be tooo much! Thanks Brad.
